Hemorrhagic Fever

Hemorrhagic Fever is an acute infectious disease of viral nature characterized with toxicosis, fever and hemorrhagic syndrome (bleeding). Its agent is related to group of arboviruses which have murine gnawing animals  and ticks as its source. Infection occurs at the tick bites, through contact with  gnawing animals or objects contaminated with their secretion, via airborne (hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome).

Hemorrhagic Fevers are natural focal diseases. Hemorrhagic Fever may occur in form  of individual case, and also it may cause small outbreaks in rural areas, especially in areas poorly assimilated by humans.

There are three types of Hemorrhagic Fever:
1. hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (hemorrhagic nephrosonephritis)
2. Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever
3. Omsk haemorrhagic fever
