Hemorrhagic Fever With Renal Syndrome

Incubation period of Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome is 13-15 days.

The disease usually begins acutely with severe headache, insomnia, pain in muscles and eyes, vision loop. Temperature rises up to 39-40C and lasts for 7-9 days. At the beginning patient feels excited, then  he feels hyposthenic and apathetic, sometimes he may talk deliriously. Face, neck, upper parts of chest and back are highly hyperemic, also are noticed mucus membrane reddening and angiectasia of sclera.

By 3 - 4 day patient's condition worses, intoxication increases and appears vomiting. On the skin of the shoulders and in armpits area appears haemorrhagic rash in form of single or multiple small hemorrhages. These conditions do intensify with each day. May appear bleedings, often nasal. Borders of the heart do not change, sometimes occurs arrhythmia. Blood pressure remains normal or may be reduced. Patient suffers from shortness of breath, and congestive conditions in lungs . Tongue is dry, thickened, densely furred with gray-brown deposit. Pains in abdomen (retroperitoneal hemorrhage), liver and spleen are not increased constantly.

Most typical in patients is renal syndrome characterized with acute pains in abdomen and waist showing during examination by touch. Lowering of amount of urine or full its missing. Urine becomes turbid because of blood and high concentration of protein in it. Recovery occurs gradually: pains disappear, vomiting stops, diuresis (amount of urine) increases. For a long time patient feels weakness and instability of the cardiovascular system.
